Free. Free online structural analysis software for desktop, mobile and tablet. Using Chrome browser, you can now build, analyse, save, load and print your 3D structures on your various kind of platform. You can also automatically get updated to latest version of EasyCiv app when connecting to Internet.
Simple. You can build your model with the easy-to-use interface in just a few clicks without any previous experience or knowledge of Structural analysis software. For example, to create a member, just click the canvas to activate the program, hit "L" or , enter a number, move your mouse to get a direction, then hit "ENTER", you will get your member draw. You can check major keyboard shortcut from . For the copy, , and move, , it works similarly. You might want to check out the toggle show/select button, , which will control if you choose to show or to do other operation. Also, you can not only define your own cross section, , but also use the built-in full list of steel member cross section.
Compatible. easily share data with EXCEL. From , and you can use to copy data to Clipboard then paste to EXCEL, or click a table tab and use mouse right click to paste the EXCEL content to table. Easily to exchange data with other structural software.

As a methods of structural analysis, the matrix stiffness method is particularly suited for computer-automated analysis of complex structures including the statically indeterminate type. It is a matrix method that makes use of the members' stiffness relations for computing member forces and displacements in structures. In applying the method, the system must be modeled as a set of simpler, idealized elements interconnected at the nodes. The material stiffness properties of these elements are then, through matrix mathematics, compiled into a single matrix equation which governs the behaviour of the entire idealized structure. The structure’s unknown displacements and forces can then be determined by solving this equation.
EasyCiv uses Matrix Stiffness Method to calculate reactions, deflections, and member forces. Moment, shear, reaction, axial and deflection diagrams can be visualized after analysis. Animated deflection diagram can also be viewed.
As the stiffness matrix in Matrix Stiffness Method is large sparse matrix, it is very infeasible to manipulate using standard dense-matrix algorithms. Specialized algorithms and data structures is used in storing and manipulating sparse matrices. Also, to increase the efficiency, iterative method is used at solving stiffness equation. All those features add up to a powerful analysis tool for you.
